Our partner, TForce Freight (previously known as UPS Freight) has introduced their own rating API and is sunsetting their old UPS-operated API on June 3, 2024. 

ShipperHQ has released an updated integration with TForce Freight using the new API. We advise all ShipperHQ customers using TForce Freight to reconnect TForce Freight in ShipperHQ to ensure your site is displaying the most accurate rates. 

We recommend all other TForce Freight customers check with your shipping solution provider or eCommerce platform to ensure uninterrupted service.

Background

In 2021, UPS sold its LTL operations (UPS Freight) to TFI International, which rebranded it TForce Freight. UPS continued to operate the Rating API on behalf of TForce Freight. TForce Freight recently introduced their own rating API and is retiring the UPS-operated API.

What This Means for ShipperHQ Customers Using TForce Freight

ShipperHQ has released an updated integration with the new TForce Freight API. 

We recommend switching to the updated integration to ensure your site is displaying the most accurate rates. 

How to Reconnect TForce Freight in ShipperHQ 

Reconnect TForce Freight as a carrier in ShipperHQ following the instructions below: 

  • Make sure you have your TForce Freight Account Number and an account set up at TForceFreight.com that’s connected to your TForce Freight account. 
  • Log into ShipperHQ account and edit your TForce Freight carrier
  • Follow the prompts to reconnect your TForce Freight account
  • Review the carrier and related configuration (Origins, rules, etc.) to ensure it’s correct. The carrier will continue to function as it does today.
  • Run test scenarios using ShipperHQ’s Test Your Rates feature or via your eCommerce platform to ensure the results match expectations

What This Means for Other TForce Freight Customers

All shipping solution providers and eCommerce platforms with an integration to TForce Freight will need to migrate to the new TForce Freight APIs. If you have not yet received confirmation from your shipping provider or eCommerce platform of this migration, you’ll want to reach out to them to confirm any steps you may need to take to connect to the new API.
